The Crivitz Fire Department consists of approximately 15 paid on call
firefighters and provides fire protection to an approximate 56 square
mile
area. Along with fire protection the department also responds to all types of rescues and vehicle accidents. We offer brush pile debris burning, swimming pool fills, and carbon monoxide service calls. All of our members have passed the required 60 hours of entry level firefighting. Most have went on to get their Wisconsin State Firefighter I Certification, and some are certified through Wisconsin State Firefighter II certification. The department's Assistant Chief and Captain are Certified State Firefighter Instructors and work part time with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College teaching firefighter certification classes. We currently have one employee staffed with the Village of Crivitz throughout regular business hours to assist residents with any problems or questions that they may have. Of course in the event of an emergency always dial 911.
