Apparatus

The Crivitz Fire Department currently has 6 apparatus in its fleet.  Our newest purchase was a 1999 Rescue Pumper from Brindlee Fire Apparatus out of Alabama.  The fire apparatus are set up for incident command, light and heavy rescue, structural firefighting, wild land firefighting, and water supply.
Unit 1

Unit 1 is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe.  It is used primarily by our Fire Chief for responding to calls.  It carries all the necessary equipment for setting up incident command as well as other miscellaneous equipment that is needed on different fire ground scenes. 


Unit 3

Unit 3 is a 1999 Southern Coach Rescue Pumper.  It is used primarily for light and heavy rescue.  It has a 1200 gpm pump and a 750 gallon water tank which enables it to also be used as a back up pumper.  It is used as our primary vehicle firefighting apparatus.  Its main use on a fire ground is exposure protection.


Unit 4

Unit 4 is a 1986 4x4 Chevy 1 ton.  In its younger years it served as a WDNR brush truck.  Today it is used as our primary responding apparatus to all wild land fires.


Unit 5

Unit 5 is a 1978 Ford Water Tanker.  It hold 1650 gallons of water and has a 500 gpm pump.  Its primary use is water shuttle for fires outside of the village where there are no fire hydrants.  It is also used as a wild land firefighting apparatus.


Unit 6

Unit 6 is a 1991 spartan pumper.  It has a 1250 gpm pump and carries 750 gallons of water.  It is used as our primary structural firefighting apparatus and carries all equipment needed for a structure fire.


Unit 7

Unit 7 is a 2006 Peterbuilt Water Tanker.  It holds 3250 gallons of water and has a 250 gpm pump.  It is used for water supply to all areas that are outside of our hydrant coverage.
